City of Decay is an easy game to play, by now players have compiled tons of content on the forums and in the wiki which greatly enhances game play and game speed if read and followed.
One thing I haven't been able to figure out is why and how people have trouble leveling up. I have purposely left some lower level abandoned accounts on the server for leveling, as well as added some NPCs. I have toyed with the idea of having a limit on attacking NPCs, because if you train yourself enough at a low level, you can beat them and gain levels and levels off them.
From CoDWiki
Training in the gym increases your stats. Some stats you can train and some you cannot (technically). Your physical stats you can train whenever you have available energy to do so. Your working stats are really just something that you accrue on the job (with some exceptions).
Stats
There are a few different ways to make money in the game. These include:
These are some other methods that, while not as lucrative in the long term, will still get you cash.
You have to go along to get along. Play hard, be active, contribute. People will notice, we're not an un-friendly lot here.
Find a faction
Best way to get in a good and respected faction is to hit level 10 by your 3rd day playing. Someone will notice. The best way to NOT get in a faction is to beg every faction leader telling them that 'you're are super loyale and will work very extremely hard to be in this faction.' This is especially ineffective when you are a 41 day old level 2 living in a dumpster.

Training and Attacking:
Everyone always says that they prefer to train their stats before attempting to level up. Well, let me put it this way, spending your energy on stats when you are only a level 1 is a waste. Not entirely, but almost. I will train stats when my 'Will' is at 100%, but at any other time it is a waste of energy. Alternating training with attacking 2 people should give your 'Will' enough time to keep climbing back up to 100%.
